Her Childhood

Princess Dearest

I do apologize for the long absence , will be around more  . The picture in the profile looks absolutely adorable ...and the writing has become more and more sharper (well to borrow a phrase from Dil Chahta hai...Perfection ko Aur Perfect Banana Muskhil hai ). Keep those blades turning on those papyrus blades princess.

It will surely take me sometime read all the great work that have missed .

Peace and Love Lil one

Literally brought tears to my eyes....but yes like you said the hurt needs to be conveyed. It is this hard hitting plain honest writing that comes through so many times in your writing ......Sometimes I wonder if you write with searing hot blades on a papyrus paper....thats the image I get from most of your writing sup....the romantic writing carries an intensity .....the violence carries an intensity ......the sadness carries an intensity...sort of like a hit in the gut ....and then the words hammer on.

Whew but yes beautiful piece .......

Peace and Love Lil one.

Maybe Redemption has Stories to Tell

Princess Dearest

How have you been. It is refreshing to be back after a long hiatus and see a good solid piece of poetry from you .The poem reflects one side of karma theory though while writing it you must have gone with the flow and not necessarily intended the effect ......

The exchanging of places....the restlessness...the temptation...the redemption all woven perfectly.

Will take time reading all the other good pieces that I missed.

Take care Lil one..

Love and Peace

The Girl from Yesterday

Hi Princess

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Long time! Where have you been??? You didnt miss me :(((

I have been good. And thanks for the picture. Rains are sporadic now - not too much menace :))
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry about the absence , well did miss you ...but then again the lil girl must have been busy playing in the rain to notice (just kidding)

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
probably due to acceptance but maybe lack of understanding ..

wth! yea - freak me out - these two words were the words I was giving examples about to someone. Do I know you??

:((

Yea - you read the rest. I want the analysis.

freaked out
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope you would not know me in real life supp ,like have said before you are very honest with your feelings and they flow unintterupted in your works ...

And it hits you unmistakably ...the reason I said the above words is this paragraph

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a flick of a finger when you dust the imaginary delusions off my face and ask me if I know how much you love me – cant I see it in the things that you do – the way you touch me – the way you hold me – they way you take me back – even when I’d lost myself along the way so long ago that I cant even retrieve the memory of me – as I once used to be.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But it’s not me. Can’t you see her?

It’s the girl from yesterday.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At times in life we wander far away like little children, sometimes we forget who we are ...sometimes we take the craziest of decisions for no apparent reason .

Yet the universe is benevolent ...it will still lead you home , by the time you reach home invariably some amount of growing up would have happenned.

People would still accept you out of love ,true love ...sincere love ...simple love  in fact I say ....the only definition of love is simple love ...plain and simple like the uninhibited smile of a new born with eyes wide open.

But not everyone understands ...Not that it diminshes the act...to have such loved ones is a blessing in itself....

The understanding can take various forms, sometime the reasons...sometimes plain simple understanding of the present changed person .

You put it beautifully in words .....I simply read them thats all , nothing to freak out.

Take care Lil one

Peace and Regards

The Girl from Yesterday

Hi Princess

Hope you have been good all the while, nice pic in the profile .The rains must have stopped in mumbai ,either way glad to see a  bright pic.Sorry could not post for a while , have been busy.

This particular piece was warm , like fuzzy chocolate on a banana icecream ,still the part where she does notice his love yet can respond only in a certain way carries tinges of sadness (probably due to acceptance but maybe lack of understanding ...)

Will go through your other posts and then the usual fun with words analysis and all ....

Have fun Lil one.

Peace and Regards

Bridge Over the Tungabhadra -3

Swayamprava ji

Glad you liked the third part .Those lines are sad but also potray the love they had for each other .

Hopefully the 4th part will provide all the answers.

Melody Queen

Your comment made my day , the one about Bhadra Kali the great protector . It is a true depiction of the mother for she is often misunderstood .

Maybe in the future will write a small short story on the reasons behind her apperance as she appears.

Hopefully will not disappoint you with the fourth part.

Thank you

Bridge Over the Tungabhadra -3

Princess

Am glad you liked the third part .
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WOW... This was the best part of all.. but then it had to be, yea.. clash of the titans..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two things -
1. You're good at writing these epic classics sort - very good - its tough writing them - its not about spilling emotions in disarray - one has to be careful about a lot of things - you're not speaking of your own times - you're dabbling with history. Good, very good.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

History is one of my favourite topics , so most of my work will either dabble with fantasy , history and politics in one or the other way connected with my stories .I do not claim to know all the indian history but am sure of the correct version of it .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Have you studied swordsmanship or something.. your write so swiftly.. I could see the moves happen right before my eyes... that swift..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been fascinated with Martial arts for a long time , especially the meditative aspect of it . The mother of all Martial arts is Kalari Payattu and Marma Kala

One orignated in Kerala and the other in Tamilnadu and were later transported to China to the Shaolin Temple by PadmaSambhava .

Swordplay is an intergral part of Kalari Payattu and Marma Kala is the play of swords and sticks used by the Kings of Tamilnadu . They could Immobolize a person with a strike to a particular Marma ( nerve point ) just like Shaolin Kungfu.

Later on this gave birth to Acupressure and Acupuncture.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now the two parts that took my breath away..

“ Kali is also called Bhadra Kali , Only one who can destroy can fully protect , Only one who can detach himself can love unconditionally , Only one who dies is immortal, Only one who is fierce with respect to duty can be extremely kind   “ .

Beautiful - in some warped sort of a way - very removed from the exotic history you have been writing about here - I have sort of known a benign protector - and you have verbalized a protector so well. 'One who is fierce with respect to duty can be extremely kind' - that makes so much fall into perspective. You teach me a lot of things.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you those are my favourite lines too .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And -

“The true taste of food is when it is chewed slowly, the true meaning in lovemaking is when it is done slowly and swordplay is just like food and love, you know it is all in the timing, wait till they get within a yojana (unit of measurement) of the bank.”

Mark of a strategist - one who plans every move - patient - unruffled because he knows he has the best laid plans. This was written beautifully but couldnt match the beauty of the above quote.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yup Ravi knew what he was doing and you need strategists to win wars , and the greatest strategists are the most compassionate ones since they know the proper timing of each emotion.

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I sort of knew that one of them would fall - but I wonder why I wasnt sure that it would be Ravi - he was the protector after all - maybe it was his destiny to rise in falling. Not really sad - because this was an interplay of parallel destinities -but sad in a very wistful sort of way.

Beautifully written - but I wait to see what Bhadra does. Maybe she will execute her duty and follow her former lover - I'm not too sure former - their love seems to transcend all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wait for the 4Th part , it might surprise you .

Warm Regards

When Love and Hate Collide

Princess Dearest

Hope you have been in great spirits , sorry could not respond in time , did read your comment .   So hopefully the lil girl has been good during the time was gone.

I notice the pic has again changed , sort of like light and dark ,some artists use this style of painting , but by the mood looks to be positive. So as usual here go my thoughts .

The poem is beautiful sort of like evening sunlight playing on ruins , there will be a sunrise ,but in the moment the evenign sun rays are pleasant but the sun will set , there is not sadness but the sense of light and dark.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rapidly, I’m falling out of love, with life

But – rapidly – it falls more in love

It’s a cruel divide

But while I find me a nifty corner

To wait and watch

Wrapped in a warm blanket of cold comfortably numb

I see the sparks – when love and hate collide
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out of life , falls more in love , both these lines set the mood of the poem .  You have an powerful way with words , like I see the sparks when love and hate collide.

Yet this is more an observer role as you make clear from the lines , find me a nifty corner.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I could tell a million lies

I could even buy me some nights

Cheap attraction dressed as a stranger

But I couldn’t lose out on the wager

I see the light –

Dressed like a nun with latent passion

Driving full throttle in its own wayward fashion

Wrapped in cold – I see the light

I see the sparks – when love and hate collide
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The lines that I like again here are wrapped in cold I see the light , Dressed like a nun with latent passion.

If I remember correctly one the imagery from your previous works was a pagan princess watching her handmaid on the grass ,similar structure.

Again strong sense of love and hate , falling in and out , the sense of knowing what is happening

"I could even buy me some nights " but also the realization it is not the real thing.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There’s always a time, place, a reason

One old but an honest truth to believe in

I could scare the ghosts out of my life –

I could make the lefts feel right –

When I see the light –

Give me all the good reasons to fight –

Wrapped in warm blanket of cold – not numb

When love and hate collide.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beautiful lines , I will not spoil them by writing the reasons but  i like the structure and the rhyming

One old but an honest truth to believe in .....

I could make the lefts feel right....

I have said this often and others have too , you have an amazing way with words and it is delightful to read them (except for the ones where depression occurs ) .

Take care lil one , have updated the blog with the 3rd part ,feel free to rip it apart ( most probably it will confuse you further on the story ) .

Peace

Warm regards

Road to Perdition

Suppie Dearest

You can play as much as you want and will not mind , ask as many questions as you want.

Just that am afraid ultimately the shrink will get shrinked ....will be left more confused that he ever was ( just kidding lil one , I call you a lil one just out of affection , in maturity you are far ahead )

This piece has the exact required amount of emotion to describe a lover  with issues from the past.

Really? Past? What makes you so sure?? ;)

These lines

Why you shirk at a touch

Why you hate so much

Putting on my Shrink Glasses,It is natural for the human body to react to touch , babies giggle with happiness at touch , it is programmed into our minds , when skin meets skin in any form or intent it only causes pleasure ,whether it is the peck of a mother on it's child's forehead or the embrace of a lover.

If something is so painful that a person clings on it and shirks at a touch of another :) it must have surely taken time .

Still I could be wrong :),

Sheryl Crow --- "The First Cut is the Deepest "

Thats nice - but I like 'sweet child 'o mine' and 'strong enough' the best. But yea - first cut is the deepest fits well :)))Or does it? ;)

I think it does though the tone of the song is different , but probably Sweet Child o mine would be good also .

Penchant for destruction hints at the past being a wrong decision , Hearts being burnt which you mention in the other lines .

Really? why does penchant for destruction always have to mean - heartburn - why cant it mean self destructive tendencies - watching danger and then diving headlong into it? Your the shrink - Im the kid - I ask, you answer right? Without asking why I ask what I ask, right?

I'm just curious, yea?

:))

Ruffles lil supriya's head ,Both of them are not the same , If the poem is an dialogue between one's conscience and the person or a dialogue between a third person and the person , it would  not have conveyed a strong emotion of love right .

These Lines

I still love to love –

I still have enough
Would not Occur ?? Or would They .

I have this tendency to just say what my gut instinct tells me , Being a guy it is not as powerful as what a female would feel but still when I read a piece there is a feel I get and that is what basically I say .

I know you will say - you mean the same thing - but when you say that - I will say my thing :))

The appeal of a secret past , the desire to know it all ....to set it right .

Yea? ;)) Maybe. But then who knows. But who's desire OB?

Nope I did not say the same thing  .

Classic Lines , fear of breaking one's heart again....Which means the past was so painful and the desire to Hide it .

No shit! No fear. Plain revulsion. Period. :))

Well here I basically agree with you , You are right it is revulsion.

Healing is not within one's hands , Like I said the person has to be ready . You might still have enough but the other person might not have the biggest piece of his heart with him .
sigh - did you get what I was tryin to say?

Hopefully I got what you meant , maybe the perspective that am looking at is different but close.

Now this is a good positive ending to the poem , a ending with hope looking forward to the future , Whether the person heals or not is a different story but yes if you can get him to play half of the work is done.
Yep - I like playin :))) And I like playin with you!!! :)) You're good. Really good!!!

And I love reading your pieces Because they burst with Innocence , People might not understand why I use the word innocence , it is not my illusion , I consider any person who puts out his feelings honestly without a care in the world to be equally innocent.

Innocent does not mean not knowing the things in the world , It means to carry on with the same sense of abandonment and disregard for social Conditioning.

Play as much as you want sup dearest , Atleast me not gonna stop you .Hopefully can keep up with your pace , you know old bones can creak !!!!.

Signing off

Peace and Love
